A Leader Committed to Service

Born on October 7, 1962, in Sirsa, Haryana, he completed his education in Delhi and Sirsa before earning a B.Sc. (Hons) degree
in Agriculture from CCR Degree College, Muzaffarnagar (Meerut University), in 1984. He manages his family’s agricultural lands and owns a school, contributing to education and community development. He began his journey in 1984 with Rotaract Club of Sirsa, serving as President in 1986-87. As DRR in 1990-91, he led 90 Rotaract clubs of RID 3090 (the largest Rotaract district) and organized notable events like the South Asia DRR Meet at Pinjore Garden and Shimla. He represented District 3090 in Sweden under Rotary’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program.
After joining Rotary in 1991, he held key roles, including AG, Deputy DG, Member Nominating Committee, District Rotaract Committee Chair, District Editor, and District Secretary General. As District Secretary General in 2008-09, he organized a District Assembly in Shimla attended by then Chief Ministers of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. During his presidency of Rotary Club Sirsa in 1998-99 and Rotary Club Sirsa Senior in 2011-12, he launched impactful community service projects, strengthening Rotary’s mission locally and globally.
As dedicated humanitarian, he has contributed to major initiatives like Polio Plus, disaster management, and The Rotary Foundation and actively engages in cultural and social organizations, including Rashtriya Punjabi Mahasabha, Multan Sabha, Akhil Bhartiya Arora Ekta Parivar, Multani Dharamshala Trust, Haryana Welfare Centre for Hearing and Speech Handicapped, Sirsa Club, One Life Club, and Jiwan Dass Memorial Trust, among others. A seasoned international representative, he has visited Sweden, Finland, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Dubai, and other countries to advance Rotary’s global mission.
As District Governor for 2025-26, Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta is dedicated to continuing his legacy of leadership and service, inspiring others through Rotary’s values of “Service Above Self.”
